FMKA originally consisted of Freddy Marques and K.Alec. In 2006 they converted an old city railway arch into a small club and started to play every set together. Within their first year, they performed at events such as Zurich´s streetparade and at Cocoon Club Frankfurt. Two years later Freddy decided to focus more on studio work and from now on Alec performed by himself under the name FMKA & Alecante.

Alec did the warm up for many artists at most of the important events in Austria. He´s acclaimed in particular for the variety of his sets that - no matter what genre - always provide the perfect sound. Alec has so far supported Richie Hawtin, Carl Cox, Valentino Kanzyani , Timo Maas, Paul Oakenfold, Erick Morillo, Felix da Housecat, Marco Bailey and John Digweed among others.

Alec never wanted to be resident at a certain club. Over the past two years he performed at Vienna´s best underground as well as mainstream clubs, though never more often than once a month.

Finally, it should be mentioned that FMKA doesn´t just stand for a DJ, but for a bunch of people who exactly know how to party!
